Tramy Group Explores Pudong Rural Revitalization Model, Awarded Advanced Collective

2025-07-16

In April 2025, the Pudong New Area Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Pudong New Area People’s Government honored Tramy Group with the "Advanced Collective in Rural Revitalization" title, recognizing its innovative contributions to Pudong’s rural development.

As a national key agricultural industrialization leader, Tramy has participated in Shanghai’s rural revitalization efforts for six consecutive years. Guided by industrial upgrading, technological innovation, sustainable development, and model innovation, the group has pioneered a unique rural revitalization framework.

Strategic Investments & Digital Transformation

Tramy engaged in seven municipal-level demonstration village projects across six Pudong towns, investing RMB 52.69 million in infrastructure and paying RMB 9.43 million annually in agricultural facility fees to boost rural economies. Leveraging digital technologies, the group achieved four breakthroughs:

Seed Source Innovation: Partnered with 20+ research institutes to develop heat-resistant green vegetables and resolve spinach seed dependency, establishing a 300-mu spinach seed base supplying 12 tons annually.

Digital Agriculture: Created China’s first chicken vegetable database and growth model, increasing mechanized production efficiency 25-fold; AI-driven rice cultivation reduced nitrogen use by 15% while boosting yields by 5%.

Safety Systems: Built a 600-mu GAP-certified vegetable base, employing green pest control for high-risk crops like cowpea and leek.

Facility Agriculture: The RMB 86.38 million "Tramy Digital Plant Factory" will become Asia’s largest commercial plant facility upon completion.

Sustainable Mechanisms: Three Transformations

From Dependency to Self-Sufficiency: Established 11 "Tramy Fresh" supermarkets and two "Tramy Taste" noodle shops in villages, offering 70-80% discounts (e.g., RMB 1 youtiao). Annual village revenue exceeds RMB 500,000.

From Fragmented to Systemic: Created a five-tier vegetable industry alliance covering 20,000 mu across 10 towns, procuring 35,000 tons of vegetables annually and generating RMB 50 million in incremental income.

From Economic to Holistic: Launched cultural initiatives like "Rural Theater" and "Spring Festival Youth Events," enriching both material and spiritual well-being.

Future Initiatives: Brand Expansion & Innovation

Tramy aims to revive Pudong’s iconic agricultural products, including white pigs and yellow chickens. A 200,000-head white pig breeding base in Zhejiang’s Shengzhou and a 3-million-bird chicken facility in Shaoxing will adopt a "two ends in Shanghai, middle outside" model, reducing costs locally while boosting rural incomes externally.

The group will also launch "PinShang Life" supermarkets (5,000-10,000㎡), integrating its 11,000-mu Shanghai farms and 350,000㎡ factories. These stores will offer 6,000+ global products, 10+ fresh food counters, and same-day vegetable delivery within two hours. The first outlet opens July 9 at Xijiao Bailian, with two more stores planned before National Day.

Through these initiatives, Tramy Group continues to drive agricultural modernization, bridging rural vitality with urban demand while setting a benchmark for China’s rural revitalization.
